The Russian Carbon Society

The Russian Carbon Society is a national organization of professionals in the field of carbon, carbon materials and carbon technologies. The Society was founded in 2003; it consolidates 46 regional organizations throughout the country. Many world-recognized Russian chemists, physicists, other experts in the fields concerned with carbon are the members of the Russian Carbon Society.

The principal functions

To promote collaboration and better understanding among carbon professionals of different background, such as science, technology or business. To facilitate transfer of new carbon technologies into industry.

The 4th International conference “Carbon: basic scientifical problems, material science, technology” was held on 26-28 October 2005, at the Moscow State University Cultural Centre. The conference was organized by Moscow State University, Chemistry Department with the assistance of All-Russian Carbon Society, Ministry of Education and Science RF, RFBR, PRC “Unichimtek”, Institute of New Carbon Materials and Technologies, TISNUM. Conference topics: basic researches in the field of new carbon materials and technology; certification of carbon materials; raw material resources for carbon industry.
